Our design is inspired by nature and sustainability, it exists in the present moment and is reborn with the passing of the seasons, follows the movement of renewal, remains flexible and adapts, expresses the rhythm of nature and the power of its essence. It is in this spirit that we invite you to let nature speak for itself in the design of your autumn terrace.

Continue to enjoy living outdoors with the following 3 tips from Erika, interior designer at Strøm spa, and create an outdoor terrace that is adapted to the autumn temperatures:

1- Lighting

In order to extend the terrace season as soon as autumn arrives, it is advisable to favour light sources that are in harmony with nature. Do not hesitate to take out candles to decorate your terrace. Whether scented or not, they will certainly warm up the atmosphere, in addition to providing you with the most soothing light when the night sets in.

The addition of lanterns or hanging lights can also help in creating a soft autumnal atmosphere on your terrace.

2- Covers & cushions

Feel free to add wool blankets and cushions to the seating arrangements on your terrace. Autumn is a great inspiration for hygge, the Scandinavian way of life, where it is encouraged to enjoy one’s home and outdoor living space in a warm and cozy setting, surrounded by family and friends. Is there anything more comforting than the thought of cocooning itself?

3- Suspended chairs & hammocks

If you have the opportunity, leave your furniture outside for as long as possible.

Suspended chairs and hammocks are an excellent place to unwind. Let your body relax completely and sway to the rhythm of the wind. As long as the temperatures are still pleasant, take a blanket, a good book, a hot drink and let yourself be charmed by these last moments in nature before the first snowfall.
