Traversed by the rivière à Simon, Strøm Nordic Spa Saint-Sauveur honours the Scandinavian tradition that is already well established in the Laurentians by opening on the site of the first Nordic spa in Québec, inaugurated in the 1960s. The advantage of this spa is its proximity to the river, which makes it easy to transition from the sauna’s heat to the river’s coolness. Surrounded by mature trees and nestled in one of Québec’s most picturesque tourist regions, Strøm Saint-Sauveur offers an immersive relaxing experience that is in harmony with its environment and setting.

The river

Majestic and inviting, the rivière à Simon runs alongside the site, offering a view of the horizon as well as a natural intimacy. The hot-cold cycle practised as part of the thermal experience is made easier by the river’s proximity to the facilities, while its flow changes with the seasons.

The bridge

The bridge connects the two sides of the river, allowing for an immersive thermal experience and encouraging people to cross from one bank to the other to take advantage of all the spa’s amenities.

The buildings

The buildings, which are spread over many levels and run the length of the rivière à Simon, provide a range of experiences in a location steeped in history where the tradition of Nordic spas has thrived for decades.
